Summary
The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) is also known as "the Nation's Report Card." NAEP is a national representative and continuing assessment of what students in the United States know and can do in various subject areas. The results of the 2005 National and State Mathematics and Reading Assessments for Grades 4 & 8 are now available.
This site provides teachers and leaders with summaries of the reports, trends in mathematics and reading, state profiles, released assessment items along with performance data and sample student responses on mathematics items that may be similar to district and state assessment items.
